I've been going back and forth on this for weeks now and I'm honestly no closer to making a decision, so I'm hoping some of you with more experience in this area can help me out before I drive myself crazy. I've got a 2018 Flying Spur that's in really good condition overall – the previous owner clearly looked after it – but I want to make sure I'm doing everything I can to protect it going forward because I plan on keeping this car for a long time and I know how expensive paint repairs can be on these things. I've had a few people recommend paint protection film and a few others swear by ceramic coating, but everyone seems to have a different opinion on which one is actually better and I'm struggling to work out what's right for my situation. The car is garaged at home and at work so it's not sitting out in the sun all day, but I do use it most days and I want something that's going to protect against stone chips, swirl marks, and general wear and tear without needing constant maintenance. I've been doing some research and found a place that seems to specialise in this sort of work, and they offer Bentley paint protection and detailing near ICAD, which is really convenient for me because I work in that area. I'm planning to go and speak to them in person to get their professional opinion, but I'd really love to hear from anyone who's actually had either PPF or ceramic coating done on their Bentley or other high-end car, and whether you'd make the same choice again. I'm particularly interested in the practical differences – does PPF actually protect against stone chips the way people say it does, and does ceramic coating really make the car that much easier to clean and keep looking good? Also, is it worth doing both, or is that just overkill and a waste of money? I want to make sure I'm making the right decision because this isn't exactly a cheap investment and I'd hate to spend thousands on something that doesn't deliver the protection I'm hoping for. Any honest advice from people who've been through this decision process themselves would be massively appreciated because I'm totally torn and I need some real-world perspectives to help me make up my mind.
