So my brother and I both bought cars around the same time last year. He went with ceramic coating only, I went with PPF on the front end plus ceramic on top. He's been giving me grief about spending extra, saying I fell for the hype. Fast forward to now and he's got three stone chips on his hood that ceramic did absolutely nothing to prevent. I'm not trying to be smug about it but I did try to explain the difference before he made his choice. He still insists ceramic is enough and that film is a gimmick. I sent him something about the genuine pros and cons of PPF versus ceramic coating in the UAE hoping he'd actually read it this time. Curious if anyone else has had this debate with friends or family. Did you manage to change their mind or did you just let them figure it out the hard way?
